These evergreen orchids are cross between Brassia, Miltonia and Oncidium. There basal rhizomes sprout 2 narrowly oval mid green leaves with pointed tips. It produces up to 12 star shaped long lasting racemes that varies in size and color at various times throughout the year.
Cool-growing orchids (see chart below). Grow in epiphytic orchid potting mix in small to tight container. It response well to yearly repotting. Provide shade and a well ventilated conditions with humidity in summer. In winter grow in strong light, water moderately throughout year. Apply half strength fertilizer every 3rd watering. In summer mist plant once or twice daily.
Prone to aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, mealy bugs, Bacterial soft rot and basal stem rot and leaf rot caused by Rhizoctonia.
