H. ‘Prairie Blue Eyes’ – This free flowering, semi evergreen diploid grows 28″ tall. It produces narrow leaves. In mid season it bears star shaped, lavender-blue flowers, 5″ across, with wide, bluish purple eyes, atop slender stems.

perennial – Grow in fertile, moist but well drained soil, in full sun. Water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks. Mulch in late autumn or spring. Divide every 3-5 years in spring or autumn. Dry conditions and excessive shade will reduce flowering. Place with care flowers will turn to the sun.
