Description
Acer oblongum – This semi evergreen maple from Southern and central China is found in low to medium elevations. Was introduced to Europe as early as 1824. It’s now being used in southern California as a street tree. Valued for its compact crown growing 20-25’ feet tall. Its 2-5” inch long leaves are without lobes or serrated edges. Their rather leathery leaves are shinny above but bloom with bluish waxy undersides.
