Alchemilla mollis

Description

Alchemilla mollis – This widely grown clump forming perennial grows 2’ feet tall and 30” inches wide. It has decorative wavy edge leaves that hold dew or raindrops to give sparkling effect, and the 9-11 lobed, toothed, densely soft hairy pale green to 6” long. In summer to early autumn it bears masses of small sprays of greenish yellow flowers. It’s drought tolerant cultivars.

These frost hardy species grow in any moist soil that’s humus rich in sun or partial shade but foliage will deteriorate in summer heat. Divided in late winter to early spring.
