Rosa x centifolia ‘Cristat’ – R. ‘Chapeau de Napoleon’ – R. ‘Cristata’ – Crested Moss – Cabbage Rose – Provence Rose – ‘Rose des Peintres’ – – This lax habit centifolia rose grows 5′ feet tall and 4-5′ feet wide. From thorny branches it carries dull, mid green leaves consisting of 5-7 broadly ovate leaflets, to 2″ long. In spring or summer, bears cupped fully double, typically composed of 200 petals around a button like center, and are richly perfumed rose-pink flowers that are 3 ½” across. Moderately disease resistant best left to fend for its self. Best grown on support.
