L.ovalifolium – California Privet – Oval-leafed Privet – This vigorous, upright evergreen or semi evergreen shrub from Japan grows 12′ feet tall and wide.It produces oval, rich green leaves, to 2 ½” long.In mid summer it bears white flowers held in dense panicles , to 4″ long, followed by spherical, shiny black fruit.Useful for hedging.
Grow in well drained soil in full sun or partial shade, variegated privets color better in sun.Able to withstand regular clipping
