Description
Acer spicatum – Mountain Maple – Derives from eastern North America it’s a deciduous, small tree or large shrub growing 25’ feet tall and 15’ feet wide. It has greenish bark that is indistinctly striped. It produces 5” long 3-5 lobed green sharply serrated leaves with smooth undersides and turn orange-purple and red in autumn. Creamy white flowers are borne in slender upright panicles.
