Erect, many branched, succulent shrub, reaching 6′ feet tall and 3′ feet wide in its native South Africa, never cultivation. It produces thick, fleshy stem and elliptic, glossy, mid green leaves, sometimes red margins, 3/4-1 1/2″ inches long. Rare to flower indoors, but it bears star shaped, white to pale pink flowers, to 3/8″ inches across, in spring.
