Acer palmatum dissectum atropururea – Cutleaf Japenese Maple – This is a very popular ornamental. This red fine texture cascading mounded miniature tree can grow 6-8’ feet tall and wide. That becomes somewhat greenish in summer time and often takes on yellow tones in autumn. Grow in moist but well drained soil. Restrict pruning and training to young plants. Sun to part shade
deciduous tree – Grows well in cooler temperature areas with adequate rainfall in fertile soil but well drained in sun or partial shade. For better fall color plant in acidic or neutral soil.
