Description
Rosa ‘Cardinal de Richelieu’ – This vigorous hybrid gallica rose of compact and lax habit grows 3-4′ feet tall and 2-4′ feet wide. From smooth or few thorned stems it carries dark green foliage. In early summer it bears mauve buds that open to rounded fully double, lightly fragrant, loosely pompon deep burgundy-purple flowers, that are 3″ across. Resistant to black spot although mildew is sometimes a problem.
