Description
Rosa ‘Schneezwerg’ – R. ‘Snow Dwarf’ – This hybrid rugosa rose grows 4-5′ feet tall and wide. It produces wrinkled, glossy, dark green leaves that turn gold before they fall. From summer to autumn it bears flat, semi doubled, slightly fragrant, white flowers, that are 3″ across, showing golden yellow stamens, held in clusters. Flowers are followed by round shaped, orange hips ripen in late summer. Use hips to make jam. Tolerant of seaside conditions, urban landscapes, and hot spots. Usually disease free but the flowers sometimes attract Japanese beetles and is sometimes bothered by rose stem girdler.
